PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic container to enable thinning of an electric circuit board, and a battery or an electric double layer capacitor using this. SOLUTION: The ceramic container A is equipped with a ceramic base body 1 having a recessed part 1a in which a battery element or an electric double layer capacitor element are housed inside on the upper face, and having a notch in the lower face outer peripheral part, with a first metallized layer 2 formed at the bottom face of the recessed part 1a, with a second metallized layer 3 formed at the upper face of the ceramic base body 1 surrounding the recessed part 1a, with a first electrode 4 of which one end is electrically connected to the first metallized layer 2 and of which the other end is derived to an inner face of the notch 1d, and with a second electrode 5 which is installed electrically independent from the first electrode 4 and of which the one end is electrically connected to the second metallized layer 3 and of which the other end is led-out to the inner face of the notch 1d.
