PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment managing device improved so that an SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) function is facilitated. SOLUTION: A control program 30 realizing equipment management according to the present invention comprises a communication processing section 210, substitute tasks 300-1 to 300-n, an SNMP agent 32, a MIB (Management Information Base) 38, and an substitute task execution management section 40. The controlled program 30 receives a management message ("Get Request", "Set Request", etc. to some MID information (management information)) from the managing device. The managed program 30 further executes functions which can be processed by the SNMP agent 32 among functions corresponding to the received management message by the SNMP agent 32 and executes functions which can not be executed by the SNMP agent 32 by a substitute task 3090 substituting for the SNMP agent 32.
