PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device and a reproduction control method and a program by which a user can passively view a vast number of contents stored in a storage medium by switching and reproducing the contents by a simple user's operation. SOLUTION: The reproducing device is provided with a group setting part for grouping multiple contents data stored in the storage medium into multiple contents groups A to E, a group selecting part for selecting one contents group C among the multiple contents groups A to E in accordance with a user input, and a reproduction control part for outputting reproduction contents of contents data C1 corresponding to a selected point in time when sequentially continuously reproducing multiple contents data C1 to n belonging to the selected contents data C from the previous reproduction start point in time ahead of the selected point in time when the group selecting part selects the one contents group C.
