PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely fix a disk drive in two directions (horizontal and vertical) perpendicular to the direction of removing the disk drive from a housing in a device having the disk drive to be removably mounted on the housing. SOLUTION: A fixing structure for a disk drive includes a slot 15 provided in the housing side and a guide rail 30 provided at the disk drive side and inserted into the slot 15 to guide the disk drive to a prescribed position. While the guide rail 30 is inserted into the slot 15, a projection 31a is abutted on a fixed plate 22 to thereby distort a beam part, the stress by the distorted beam part pushes the guide rail 30 against the slot 15 to fix the disk drive horizontally, and a raised part 37 is fitted into a tapered groove 39 to thereby press the guide rail 30 against the slot 15 to fix the disk drive vertically.
