PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a work machine capable of synchronously or independently controlling control shafts as control objects. SOLUTION: This controller for a work machine controlling a plurality of control objects configured of two shafts or more is provided with a shaft configuration information input means 203, which associates an actuator with the control objects 1 and 2 in control of the actuator such a motor driving the respective shafts as the respective control objects, and an instruction distribution processing part 208 distributing an operation instruction to a predetermined actuator based on physical shaft configuration information, which is generated by the shaft configuration input means 203 and represents physical coupling relation between the control object and the actuator. In this way, overlapping actuators can be synchronously controlled at the same time or independently controlled separately, and consequently, working efficiency is improved.
