PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for optimizing not only operation conditions, parameters concerning a robot system but a robot program, and to provide a control system. SOLUTION: A device and method for optimizing performance of a robot has a computer connected to a robot controller in order to receive performance data of the robot when the robot controller executes a path program. The computer uses the performance data, an optimization object and restriction defined by a user, and a kinetic and dynamic simulator to replace a control system parameter in the controller from a default set to a new set.
