PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector whose manufacturing processes can be simplified and both of the maintenance of projection performance and the adjustment of a projecting position can be attained. SOLUTION: The projector is provided with: an optical device 45 for forming an optical image by modulating a light flux from a light source; a projecting optical device 46 for enlarging and projecting the optical image; a projecting position adjusting device 5 for moving the projecting optical device 46 in a face approximately orthogonal to a projecting direction to move the projecting position of a light flux emitted from the projecting optical device 46; and a support 48 for supporting the projecting position adjusting device 5. The support 48 is provided with a horizontal part 481 for fixing the optical device 45 and a vertical part 482 approximately orthogonal to the horizontal part 481. The projecting position adjusting device 5 is provided with a moving member 51 connected to the projecting optical device 46 and allowed to move along a face 482A approximately parallel with the vertical part 482 to move the projecting optical device 46 in the face approximately orthogonal to the projecting direction and a depression member 52 for biasing at least either one of the moving member 51 and the projecting optical device 46 to the face 482A of the vertical part 482 to support it.
