PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deciding the shortage of components of an assembly and a measuring apparatus used for it inexpensively. SOLUTION: An arbitrary number of ball bearings 60 are mounted on a weighting apparatus 40 to measure the total weight T. The total weight T is divided by a single weight W of the ball bearings 60 to calculate the number N of the ball bearings 60. A theoretical value R determined by subtracting a calculated value t, which is determined by multiplying a value obtained by subtracting the tolerance±w of the single weight W of the ball bearings 60 from the single weight W by the number N, from the total weight T is compared to a single weight B of a ball 65. When the theoretical value R exceeds the single weight B of the ball 65, it is decided that some of the plurality of ball bearings 60 are short of the ball 65. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
