PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger device as an EGR cooler of simple structure miniaturized with high cooling capacity using a heat pipe. SOLUTION: EGR gas 2 is allowed to pass through an inner tube 3, and cooling water 4 exchanging heat with the EGR gas 2 is allowed to pass through an outer tube 5 provided outside the inner tube 3. One or more heat pipes 10 are provided to pass through the inner tube 3 so that one ends abut on the inner peripheral surface 3a of the inner tube 3 and that the other ends abut on the inner peripheral surface 5a of the outer tube 5.
