PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology by which thrust can be appropriately regulated inexpensively in a simple and easy constitution. SOLUTION: The thrust regulator comprises a compressor 6 provided with an impeller 6b and diffuser 6c, a thrust-generating means 10 for generating thrust by utilizing air which has passed through a diffuser 6c, and a flow control valve 8 regulating the quantity of the air for generating thrust. The flow control valve 8 is provided with a first control valve 8a and a second control valve 8b. The first control valve 8a is opened by action of the air pressure, and regulates the quantity of the air for generating thrust in response to the valve travel of the valve. The second control valve 8b regulates the quantity of the air used to open the first control valve 8a in response to the valve travel. The air utilized for opening the first control valve 8a is bled between the impeller 6b and the diffuser 6c, temperature of the air is lowered by heat exchange with a heating medium.
