PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of correctly delivering a different size sheet without increasing dimension of the device. SOLUTION: This sheet feeder is provided with an IC tag reading device 23 for reading sheet size , a selector member 19 for switching a delivery route between a first delivery route and a second delivery route, presser members 20 and 21 for pressing the sheets housed in a delivery tray 22, and a sheet detecting sensor 24 for detecting whether the sheet reaches the predetermined position on the delivery route. With the operation of the selector member 19 for selecting the first delivery route or the second delivery route, the presser members 20 and 21 are stopped at a position for guiding the sheet to the delivery tray 22, and when the sheet detecting sensor 24 detects that the sheet reaches the predetermined position, all the sheets housed in the delivery tray 22 comprising the sheet, which reaches the predetermined position, are pressed.
