PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of preventing deformation and damage of a separation claw even if a paper feeding cassette is removably/insertably constituted in a direction perpendicular to a feeding direction of the paper relative to a paper feeding device body. SOLUTION: The paper feeding device is provided with a pair of separation claws 93L, 93R provided on the paper feeding cassette 18 stored with papers fed by a semi-circular paper feeding roller 19 provided on the paper feeding device body in the piled up state and constituted so as to cover a corner part of a distal end in a feeding direction of the paper from above in order to separate the papers fed by the paper feeding roller 19 in every one sheet. The paper feeding cassette 18 is removably/insertably constituted in a direction X perpendicular to the feeding direction F of the paper relative to the paper feeding device body and both side surfaces of the paper feeding roller 19 are constituted to a taper shape 19c. A tongue piece 93e having a downward inclination shape toward a depth side is integrally formed on a depth side of the separation claw 93L positioned at a depth part in the removal/insertion direction of the paper feeding cassette of the pair of separation claws.
