The present invention relates to the use of γ-polyglutamic acid (γ-PGA, H form), and/or one or more of its salts (i.e., γ-polyglutamate in Na<Sup>+</Sup> form, γ-polyglutamate in K<Sup>+</Sup> form, γ-polyglutamate in NH<Sub>4</Sub><Sup>+</Sup> form, γ-polyglutamate in Mg<Sup>++</Sup> form, γ-polyglutamate in Ca<Sup>++</Sup> form) and/or γ-polyglutamate hydrogel as super moisturizer(s) in cosmetic products and personal care products.
