Gain control for a transmitter with a cartesian loop with digital processing

The device has a digital processing circuit (4) with a stage (20) to combine base-band input signals and Cartesian feedback signals to generate error signals. The circuit is linked via analog/digital and digital/analog conversion stages to an analog processing circuit (6) receiving the error signals. The circuit (6) has a processing stage to generate an output signal from the error signals, and a feedback stage to generate the feedback signals from the output signal. The circuit (4) has a gain control stage (10) placed before the stage (20) to modify the gain applied to the input signals. An independent claim is also included for a gain control method.
