<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall detector capable of detecting a fall accompanied by rotation. <P>SOLUTION: The fall accompanied by rotation is detected from a waveform of an acceleration signal which is output by an acceleration detecting section, or an angular velocity signal which is output by an angular velocity detecting section. Furthermore, an acceleration of the gravity point in equipment being a protection object is computed by using an acceleration detected by the acceleration detecting section and an angular velocity detected by the angular velocity detecting section. The fall of the equipment being the protection object can be detected from the detected acceleration or angular velocity even when the equipment falls with rotation. Moreover, the acceleration of the gravity point which is computed, is not affected by the rotation, thereby enabling the fall of the equipment to be precisely detected even when the equipment being the protection object is rotated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
