<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the unevenness in a horizontal scanning direction by detecting the unevenness in the horizontal scanning direction and detecting, for example, a fringe drop etc., of an amount of a laser beam. <P>SOLUTION: An image after fixing is read by a density sensor and the amount of the laser beam is adjusted from the read value thereof. The setting of the amount of the laser beam can be made for N block components with respect to the horizontal scanning direction. The density sensor reads at least two points with respect to the horizontal scanning direction and estimates the unevenness over the entire part of the horizontal scanning direction from the two points, thereby adjusting the amount of the light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
