<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact hood device for a vehicle lifting and flipping up a hood member. <P>SOLUTION: The hood device comprises: the hood member 21 formed in front of a vehicle cabin 10 to cover an engine room 12 from above; a support member 22 supporting the hood member 21; a hinge base member 23 held on a vehicle body 5 side of the vehicle; a hinge arm member 26 having a first pivot part 24 whose one end is rotatably pivoted by the support member 22 and a second pivot part 25 whose other end is rotatably pivoted by the hinge base member 23; an energizing means 28 disposed to the first pivot part 24 and energizing the support member 22 in a direction separated from the second pivot part 22 upward; and a lock means 30 restricting upward displacement of a rear end part 21b of the hood member 21 by the energizing means 28 in a normal state, and releasing the restriction when a collision or the possibility of the collision is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
