摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hydrogenation catalyst which has high activity when used for hydrogenating aromatic and heteroaromatic hydrocarbons, exhibits high tolerance to a sulfur compound and a nitrogen compound, is used for hydrogenating various aromatic hydrocarbons and/or heteroaromatic compounds in the coexistence of the sulfur compound and the nitrogen compound and is used for decreasing the aromatic component and sulfur component of light oil at the same time. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the catalyst for hydrogenating light oil comprises the steps of: impregnating a porous inorganic oxide carrier with an aqueous solution containing at least one oxygen-containing organic compound selected from a saccharide and its derivatives; drying the inorganic oxide carrier thus impregnated; impregnating the dried inorganic oxide carrier with another aqueous solution containing at least one noble metal selected from noble metals of group VIII in the periodic table; and drying/firing the inorganic oxide carrier thus impregnated.
