PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp lighting device and a lighting apparatus capable of surely lighting electrodeless discharge lamp in all the resonance load parts. SOLUTION: This electrodeless discharge lamp lighting device has a plurality of resonance load parts 41, 42 containing induction coils 31, 32 disposed near electrodeless discharge lamps La1, La2 respectively and mutually connected in parallel and a control part 5 sweeping frequency of power supplied from a DC-power-supply part 1 to each resonance load parts 41, 42 through a switching part 2 in a frequency range containing at least one part of each resonance load parts 41, 42. Even if the power supplied to the electrodeless discharge lamps La1, La2 from one of the resonance load parts 41, 42 is insufficient and electrodeless discharge lamp La1, La2 are turned off they will be surely turned on again thus, the electrodeless discharge lamps La1, La2 can be surely turned on in all the resonance load parts 41, 42.
