PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable handling an external video recording device with sense being same as an internal video recording device even if an external video recording device is extended. SOLUTION: In the apparatus having a control part controlling operation, a receiving part receiving a broadcasting signal, a demodulating and signal processing part modulating and signal-processing the received signal and converting it to a signal for display, a video recording processing part, and a built-in video recording device 41, further, the apparatus has a connection terminal 21 connecting an external video recording device 41a, and a device managing part 56g registering the external video recording device as a device for expansion of capacity of the built-in video recording device and managing it.
