PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent optical fiber ribbons stacked in a slot groove of an optical fiber cable from drifting. SOLUTION: In the optical cable 11, two kinds of optical fiber ribbons 9, 11 are plurally stacked alternatively in each slot groove 7 formed at appropriate intervals in the outer periphery of a slot core 3 of a round cross section. The above optical fiber ribbon 9 of one kind is constituted of two or more primary coated optical fibers 21 arranged in parallel and covered with a package resin 23 in batch, and the surfaces of the package resin 23 on both sides in the direction perpendicular to the direction in which the two or more primary coated optical fibers 21 are connected are made into a smoothed form 31. The optical fiber ribbon 11 of the other kind is constituted of two or more optical fibers 21 arranged in parallel and covered with a package resin 23 in batch, and the surfaces of the package resin 23 on both sides in the direction perpendicular to the direction in which the two or more primary coated optical fibers 21 are connected are made into a wave form 25.
