PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converting system enabling intended transverse-pushing movement in a state that no article is sandwiched. SOLUTION: This converting system is provided with a pair of right and left endless rotating bodies 40 arranged along a main conveying path 45, a large number of article support bodies 50 fitted between the endless rotating bodies 40, and article transverse-pushing bodies 75 externally fitted to the article support bodies 40 and guided. The article transverse-pushing bodies 75 are formed by externally fitting parts 76 with respect to the article support bodies 50 and transverse-pushing action parts 83 provided above the externally fitting parts 76. Upper parts of the transverse-pushing action parts 83 are formed to be a continuous upper face 85 having a downward inclined shape 85a in the front side in the backward and forward directions and a downward projecting arc shape 85b in the both sides in the right and left directions. At start of transverse-pushing, before an article is sandwiched between the article transverse-pushing bodies 75 before and after the article, lower and outer portions of the continuous upper face 85 having the inclined shape 85a and projecting arc shape 85b are smoothly slid below the article, and the article can be lifted up by the continuous upper face 85. As a result, transverse-pushing movement can be performed without sandwiching the article, and failure of the article and the article transverse-pushing bodies 75 can be prevented.
