PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freezing starting device capable of easily and positively starting freezing of liquid in a supercooled state. SOLUTION: This freezing starting device 1 starts freezing of liquid 9 by applying ultrasonic wave to a bottle 9 containing the liquid 9 supercooled to -4°C or lower. The freezing starting device 1 has a casing 2, a container installation part 3 for installing the bottle 6, an ultrasonic vibrator for generating ultrasonic wave, and a circuit part 5. The container installation part 3 is formed in cup shape, and an ultrasonic propagation medium 8 for propagating ultrasonic wave generated by the ultrasonic vibrator 4, to the bottle 6 installed at the container installation part 3 is stored in the container installation part 3.
