PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toilet equipment which automatically separates/recovers excrement and a large quantity of flushing water. SOLUTION: A screening body 3 is provided under a feces dropping port part 2b of a bowl surface 2a in such a manner as to be operable in each of a closed position, a half-opened position and a fully-opened position by being interlocked with a driving element 4. The screening body 3 can be stopped in the closed position while a sensor 5 cannot detect a user within a defecation area a, stopped in the fully-opened position while the sensor 5 detects the user within the defecation area a, and stopped in the half-opened position when the sensor 5 cannot detect the user because he/she gets away from the defecation area a. A water supply unit 6 can perform the operation of supplying the flushing water to the bowl surface 2a, after the screening body 3 is stopped in the half-opened position, and the driving element 4, the screening body 3 and the water supply unit 6 are controlled by a processor 18 so as to be automatically operated at the appropriate times. This enables the bowl surface 2a to be formed in such a shape that the flushing water can be automatically recovered in quantities large enough to sufficiently flush the bowl surface 2a, from an intake port part 8 on the downside of the screening body 3, via the screening body 3 in the half-opened position.
