PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fiber structure having incombusibility much surpassing a level conventionally called flame retardant. SOLUTION: The method for producing the incombustible fiber structure comprises soaking a fiber structure in a sodium silicate polymer solution and drying the obtained to attach 5-100% owf (on the weight of fiber) sodium silicate polymer based on the fiber structure as an effective solid component.
