PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a station selection apparatus for preventing occurrence of a mute state at channel switching. SOLUTION: The channel selection apparatus selects a station on the basis of a station selection method including: a first display step of displaying a second video image corresponding to a second channel on a display means together with a first video image in response to a first station selection being a station selection of selecting the second channel that is carried out when the first video image corresponding to a first channel is displayed among a plurality of channels included in a received signal; a selection step of selecting either of the first video image and the second video image; and a second display step of displaying either of the first video image or the second video image on the display means.
