A volume-reducing equipment for garbage contained water which separates heavy materials such as solids and light materials such as water and oil and fats contained in a liquid to be treated, discharges water only from the separated materials, and reduces volume of the liquid to be treated, and a decomposition-in-water type garbage treatment apparatus for preventing generation of odor and preventing overflow of a decomposed liquid contained in a decomposition tank are provided. A volume-reducing equipment(4) for garbage contained water comprises: a water tank(31); partition members(61,62) which part the interior of the water tank into an introduction side space(R1) and a drain side space(R3) and form a communication path at a lower side within the water tank to communicate the introduction side space and the drain side space with each other; an introduction port(32) for introducing a liquid to be treated comprising of garbage contained water into the introduction side space within the water tank; a drain port(37) comprising a drain part installed at a position higher than the communication path in the drain side space; and a discharge port(34) comprising a discharge part that is disposed in the introduction side space and installed at a position lower than the drain part, wherein the water tank has a bottom surface that is inclined downward from the drain side space to the discharge part of the introduction side space. |
