<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a serious social problem of bicycles parked on a sidewalk around a station, since they hinder safe traffic of pedestrians and cause a fear of hindering evacuation in a disaster. <P>SOLUTION: Sidewalk peripheral design secures safety on the sidewalk by restraining bicycle parking by making a vehicle body balance hard to keep when parking the bicycles by arranging a grating of a lattice shape in a construction material around a place for restraining the bicycle parking on a sidewalk surface. A projecting part is also installed on a grating surface, to cope even with restraint of the bicycle parking on a braille block by using for the braille block periphery for guiding a visually disabled person. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
