<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To browse a large amount of still images stored in a memory at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: In a search mode, time lines are displayed, for example, on nine thumbnail images displayed in an album display mode. When the time lines are set, for example, in a dimension of "month", thumbnail images of still images on the latest imaging dates of each month are displayed in parallel, when the time lines are set in a dimension of "day", thumbnail images of each still image picked up in the "month" selected by a user when the time lines are set in the dimension of "month" are arranged and displayed in order from the latest imaging date.
