PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide and a lighting device using the same with occurrence of glare restrained, restrictions on designing reduced, and enabling to reduce manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: At least two sheets of light guide plates 13, 14 of nearly a rectangular shape in plane view made of a translucent material are arrayed separated from each other in a layer in an up-and-down direction, base ends 13a, 14a of the light guide plates 13, 14 are coupled together through a base-end side pinched part 15 positioned between the base ends 13a, 14a of the light guide plates 13, 14 made of a translucent material to form a base end 10a of a light guide 10, and at the same time, tip ends 13b, 14b of the light guide plates 13, 14 are coupled together through a tip-end side pinched part 16 positioned between the tip ends 13b, 14b of the light guide plates 13, 14 made of a translucent material to form a tip end 10b of the light guide 10. The light guide 10 with a hollow part formed surrounded by the light guide plates 13, 14, the base-end side pinched part 15, and the tip-end side pinched part 16 is used for the lighting device.
