PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pen type input device for satisfactorily detecting a pen pressure by using a compact and highly sensitive pressure sensitive sensor. SOLUTION: This pen type input device is provided with a pen main body 10, a pen core 12 mounted on the pen main body 10 and a pen pressure sensor part 100 where an electrode pattern is formed on the substrate for detecting the pen pressure of a user to be acquired from the pen core 12. The sensor element of the stroke pressure sensor part 100 is provided with a pressure sensitive conductive elastomer oppositely to the electrode pattern, and the resistance value of the electrode pattern is changed by deforming the pressure sensitive conductive elastomer according to a pressure obtained from the pen core 12 so that the stroke pressure can be detected.
