PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual phase copper alloy having excellent strength, electric conductivity and workability, to provide a spring material and a foil body, and to provide a method for producing a dual phase copper alloy. SOLUTION: The dual phase alloy has a composition comprising Ag of, by mass, 3 to 20% in total, and further comprising one or more additional elements selected from the group consisting of Sn, Mg, Zr and Zn of 0.01 to 3% in total, and the balance substantially Cu with inevitable impurities, and is composed of a Cu mother phase, and a second phase containing≥50% Ag. The average crystal grain size of the Cu mother phase is≤600 nm, and the ratio of the twin crystal boundaries in the crystal grain boundaries of the Cu mother phase is≥10%.
