PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of constructing an impervious wall facilitating deformation and attachment of the impervious sheet. SOLUTION: An impervious sheet 31 having deformable property and shape retention property is extended in the front surface of a pile structure having a flat part 14 and a recessed part 15 appearing alternately is suspended from a steel pipe 18 through a first hanger 34. The impervious sheet 41 is deformed into such a shape as to fit the recessed part 15 by moving a forming roller 49 downward while pressing the forming roller 49 toward the impervious sheet 31 through a long arm 48. After completion of the deformation, steel pipes 47a and 47b are inserted, respectively, into sheath pipes 17a and 17b fixed to the lower part of the recessed part 15b while the upper parts of the steel pipes 47a and 47b are fixed to the recessed part 15b. The arrangement facilitates deformation of the impervious sheet 31 and ensures retention of the deformed shape of the impervious sheet 31 with the steel pipe 47, resulting in improved reliability of the whole of the impervious wall.
