Diameter change is created by a conical section of the cylinder(1) bore whose diameter reduces in the material(5) output direction. The conical section is located in the feed zone(7) and has a greater diameter than the screw(2). In the output zone(8) the cylinder internal diameter and screw outer diameter are similar. Screw flight depth remains constant over the full screw length.
