摘要 <p>The invention relates to a method of generating variable-magnitude optical aberrations by rotating optical components and to a device used to implement same. The invention is characterised in that a light beam is passed through two or more refractive and/or diffractive optical components which are stacked on top of one another and rotated in opposing directions and which, consequently, enable an additional amount of aberration to be introduced into the incident beam, the type and magnitude of said additional aberration depending on the components used and the angle of rotation. The basic module, comprising two optical elements, can be used to generate any single type of variable-magnitude aberration. An assembly of coupled modules can be used to obtain any complex aberration which consists of the sum of single aberrations. The invention can be used to compensate aberrations of the human eye or any other optical system and to generate reference aberrations that are used to calibrate different types of aberrometers.</p>
