<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce uneven glossiness in forming a color image. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, an image in one color is formed on an intermediate transfer body by rotating the intermediate transfer body once, and images in a plurality of colors are superposed on the intermediate transfer body by rotating the intermediate transfer body several times, then, a color image is formed on the intermediate transfer body, and the image formed by the image forming part is transferred and fixed to a paper, then, the paper which already passed through the fixing part is switched back toward a return path, and then, returned to the transfer part so as to also transfer an image to the other surface of the paper. In transferring the image also to the other surface of the paper in the aforesaid manner, a temperature difference on the paper is reduced by separating a pair of return rollers 72 when the paper is in a standby state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
