<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of outputting a printed image having high image quality even when the characteristic of developer is changed without using a complicated recovery mechanism for recovering gas. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a driving part 36 capable of changing the surface moving speed of a sweep roller 32 being an excess developer removing member as a removing force varying means for varying the excess developer removing force of the sweep roller 32, and forms a pattern image for control on a photoreceptor drum 1 being a latent image carrier by exposing light L functioning as a pattern image forming means and a developing part 40. It is equipped with a glossiness sensor 35 functioning as a glossiness detection means for optically detecting the glossiness of the pattern image formed on the photoreceptor drum 1, and a control part 200 controls the surface moving speed of the sweep roller 32 by the driving part 36 on the basis of the result of detection by the glossiness sensor 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
