<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic voltage regulator that suppresses overshoot when establishing voltage in a generator, and can also prevent a malfunction in an undervoltage relay. <P>SOLUTION: The output signal of a timer for measuring time from when the establishment of the voltage is started in a synchronous generator rises up to the target value of a generator voltage in a ramp shape between the instant of 0 and the instant of a first time setting value.
