<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication device which can reduce useless power consumption, and to provide a wireless network system, a communication method, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: Wireless terminals 2-4, participating the wireless network 5 performs communication by the use of a time frame which includes a data transmission reporting period and a subsequent data transmission period and periodically repeated at fixed time intervals. The terminals 2-4 include a low power consumption state and a normal power state as an operation state having an operation changeover function of changing over both the operations by themselves. The wireless terminals include a normal power mode and a low power consumption mode as a power management mode. The wireless terminal operated by the normal power mode is operated in the normal power state.
