PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space information detection system for detecting space information on respective object spaces by respective detectors even if the object spaces are shared among the plurality of detectors. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with the plurality of detectors 10a to 10c. The detectors 10a to 10c are each equipped with a light emission source 2 for projecting light onto each of the object spaces, a light detection element 1 for receiving light from the object space, and a distance operation part 4 for finding a distance to a body existing in the object space from an output of the detection element 1. The detectors 10a to 10c are each equipped with a timing control part 3 for controlling the timing of projecting light from the emission source 2 to the object space. Each control part 3 alternately provides light projection periods for projecting light and cessation periods for projecting no light in order to cause each emission source 2 to emit light intermittently.
