PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interference detection method of FMCW radar capable of detecting surely an interference at the generation time regardless of a system of an interference source radar, and the FMCW radar. SOLUTION: Generation of the interference is determined by using sampling data (amplitude) acquired by over-sampling a beat signal B, not by using the sampling data itself but by comparison between the absolute value ¾VD¾ of its variation and a threshold TH. Namely, since determination is performed by utilizing the fact that, when the interference is generated, a signal waveform of the beat signal is disturbed (the amplitude is changed steeply) by superimposition of a wide-band signal on the beat signal, generation of the interference can be detected surely regardless of the system of a transmission source radar of an interference wave or even when the amplitude of the interference wave is small, and furthermore, wrong detection of interference generation can be prevented surely when a low-frequency noise is superimposed on the beat signal B.
