PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting strike display device capable of securely preventing a ribbon in operation from being wound around a steel tower main column material side. SOLUTION: The lighting strike display device is equipped with a ribbon display type lighting strike display unit 1 which is fixed to an angle steel iron tower leg 2 as the steel tower main column material with a fitting band 3 and a cover plate 10 closing a triangular gap G formed between the steel tower leg 2 and fitting band 3. The cover plate has a triangular primary cover body portion 10a and a base end portion 10b extending in one body from its base, the base end portion 10b is divided into a plurality of engagement pieces, which area bent and fitted to the fitting band 3 to arrange the primary cover body portion 10a obliquely on the gap G. When the lighting strike display unit detects lighting strike to suspend the operation ribbon 7, the operation ribbon 7 is disturbed by the cover plate 10 and does not enter the gap G even if hit by wind to move to the gap G, so that the operation ribbon is not wound around the fitting band 3.
