PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a vinyl resin by feeding a monomer from a monomer reservoir to a polymerization apparatus and performing polymerization in an aqueous medium contained in the polymerization apparatus, wherein the vinyl resin is prepared in a system in which scale production caused by polymerization of the monomer remaining in a prescribed part is prevented, wherein the prescribed part is located posterior to the monomer reservoir but anterior to the polymerization apparatus. SOLUTION: When preparing the vinyl resin by feeding the monomer from the monomer reservoir to the polymerization apparatus and performing polymerization in the aqueous medium contained in the polymerization apparatus, after feeding of the monomer to the polymerization apparatus is completed and before the next feeding of the monomer from the monomer reservoir begins, an aqueous liquid containing a water-soluble polymerization inhibitor is placed in the prescribed part to prevent production of the scales caused by polymerization of the remaining monomer. Here, the prescribed part is located between a valve placed posterior to the monomer tank and a valve placed anterior to the polymerization apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
