PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the impact absorbing performance against an impact load impressed onto a hood panel. SOLUTION: A hinge arm 1 is equipped with a main wall part 1a supported rotatably by a hinge bracket 6 in such an attitude that its obverse and reverse surfaces are oriented approximately in the vehicle width direction and a hood mounting wall part 1b overhung from the top edge of the main wall part 1a to the inside in the vehicle width direction. A hood ridge flange 4 as a joining part of a hood ridge reinforcement 3 with a dash side panel 2 is overhung upward and extended approximately in the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle. In this constitution, the main wall part 1a of the hinge arm 1 is offset in the vehicle width direction with respect to the hood ridge flange 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
