Post-IM3-Cancellation frequency translation

The method involves manipulating the received radio frequency (RF) signal e.g. wireless communication signal to form two third-order intermodulation (IM3) products in which the secondary IM3 product is substantially completely out of phase with respect to the primary IM3 product. The IM3 products are combined to perform frequency translation. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) signal frequency translation method; (2) distortion reduction apparatus; and (3) frequency translator.
