STRETCH SHEET AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A process for stretch sheet production which comprises stretching either a strip-form layered sheet (10A) comprising an elastic layer (1) having elastic stretchability and non-elastic fibrous layers (2) and (3) which are substantially non-elastic and have been partly bonded to the elastic layer (1) or a fibrous sheet comprising an elastic ingredient and a substantially non-elastic ingredient and partly having embossed parts formed by embossing. The stretching is conducted using the bonding parts (4) where the two kinds of layers are bonded to each other or the embossed parts, as base points. Thus, a stretch sheet (10) is obtained. The stretch sheet has protrusions and grooves extending in the direction perpendicular to the stretching direction, the bonding parts (4) or embossed parts being formed in the protrusions.
