Preparation of plasticized polyvinyl acetate (I) comprises reacting a polymer (A) with a carbonyl compound (II) in the presence of an acid catalyst, which results in hydrophobic plasticizer, where the polymer contains a hydroxyl compound, carbonyl compound and alkyl compound. Preparation of plasticized polyvinyl acetate (I) comprises reacting a polymer (A) with a carbonyl compound (II) of formula (R7>-C(=O)-R8>) in the presence of an acid catalyst, where the polymer contains a hydroxyl compound (1) of formula (CH3-(CH(OH)-CH(R1>))CH3), carbonyl compound (2) of formula (C(=O)(R2>)-O-C((CH3)-CH(R4>))(CH3)) and alkyl compound (3) of formula ((C(CH3)(R5>)(R6>)-C(R3>)(R4>)(CH3))). R1>H or CH3; R2>H or 1-6C alkyl; R3>-R6>1-500 g/mol of molecular weight; R7>, R8>H, COOH, COOM, 1-10C alkyl or 6-12C aryl; M : metal cation or alkylammonium cation. Independent claims are included for: (1) a plasticized polyvinyl acetate is obtained by the process; and (2) a foil, coating, printing color, ceramic molded substance, ion conductive layer in electro chromic system and thermoplastic product comprising (I). |
