MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL THAT CAN PLAY NEW BROADCAST DATA, AND METHOD THEREOF

A mobile communication terminal capable of regenerating new broadcast data and a method thereof are provided to make it possible to be combined with a downloadable application drive environment and to regenerate new format broadcast data without upgrading additional hardware. A mobile communication terminal capable of regenerating new broadcast data comprises a data receiver(205), an analysis unit(210), a transmission unit(215) and a software installation unit(220). The data receiver(205) receives information on broadcast data and the broadcast via a broadcasting channel activated between a broadcasting server and the mobile communication terminal wherein the information on broadcast data includes a data format identifier. The analysis unit(210) extracts the data format identifier from the information on the broadcast data received by the data receiver(205) and determines whether the broadcast data can be regenerated at the mobile communication terminal. The transmission unit(215) transmits the data format identifier to the broadcasting server and requests a software in case of not existing a program for regenerating the broadcast data at the mobile communication terminal. The software installation unit(220) downloads the program from the broadcasting server and installs the software at the mobile communication terminal.
