摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device for a vehicle capable of miniaturizing the drive device or improving fuel consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A switch clutch C0 and a switch brake B0 as a differential state switching device for selectively switching a power distribution mechanism 16 to the differential state (continuously variable shift state) operable as an electric continuously variable transmission and the constant gear ratio state operable as a transmission having a constant gear ratio are provided. Therefore, in high speed traveling or a high rotation area of an engine 8, the power distribution mechanism 16 is made to the constant shift state, output of the engine 8 is exclusively transmitted to a driving wheel 38 by a mechanical power transmission route, conversion loss between the motive power and electricity is suppressed and fuel consumption is enhanced. Further, in high output area of the engine 8, the power distribution mechanism 16 is made to the constant shift state, electric reaction force to be ensured of a first electric motor M1 can be made smaller and the first electric motor M1 or the drive device 10 of the vehicle including it is further miniaturized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
