PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation technology with high productivity while suppressing the generation of registration gap. SOLUTION: An image formation device, which has an image formation unit with two or more colors possession in portions equipped with an image carrier and a light beam scanning unit which polarizes an emitted laser beam with a spinning polygon mirror and forms an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier while forming a color image by piling up the image which has been formed with each image formation unit is equipped with the first control section for controlling the rotational speed of one spinning polygon mirror in one image formation unit and the second control section for controlling the rotational speed of other spinning polygon mirror by a speed control or phase control in other image formation unit and a control-signal formation section for forming a spinning reference signal from the driving information of one spinning polygon mirror actuated by the speed control of the 1st control section or the detection information of the laser beam polarized by one spinning polygon mirror when the rotational speed of other polygon mirror has reached the target rate. When the spinning reference signal has been output from the control-signal formation section, the second control section performs the control of the phase of the speed of other spinning polygon mirror according to the phase of the spinning reference signal.
